A Brief History of our Company
Yung Soon Auto Supply Co. was co-founded by Mr Siow Kim Meow and Mr Lim Pai Chwee in 1976 in a little shophouse in Race Course Road. Our main business back then was to supply spare parts for the London cab brands Austin, Oxford, and Morris Marina. Our business grew exponentially through the hard work and determination of our founders and their team. We moved to a bigger shophouse in Owen Road in the early 80s and had our own warehouse when we started to supply Toyota and Nissan spare parts as the Japanese cars gained popularity globally in the 80s and 90s. We moved to our current location at Upper Weld Road when we made way for the building of the North-East Line in 1997.
It was not always smooth sailing for us as poor inventory management and the lack of technological use hampered our growth at the turn of the millennium and we began to lose out to our competitors. We were able to get back on track quickly when we employed the use of technology for both sales tracking and inventory management. We have significantly improved our turnaround time and we are now able to respond and deliver to our customers in a more accurate and timely manner.
Today, we have become one of the leading stockists for Toyota, Lexus and Nissan spare parts in Singapore.
We are also one of the pioneers in the automotive spare parts export business in Singapore when we started supplying parts to Malaysia and Brunei in the 80s. Our export business grew as word of mouth went far and wide and we now have business partners and clients in over 10 different countries.
To be the preferred automotive parts provider and partner within the island and across the region.
To fulfill our promises to our customers in the most accurate, efficient and timely manner.
